GENEVA, NEW YORK — Belhurst Winery president Mr. Duane Reeder proudly announces winning ten wine awards, including NWIWC – Best New World Riesling two Best in Class, two Gold and one Platinum from the 2011 Jerry D. Mead’s New World International Wine Competition. Belhurst Estate Winery has won over 210 wine medals.

Established in 1990 the Jerry D. Mead’s New World International Wine Competition judges wine entries based on varietal and price class designations from wineries in the “New World” including North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Taking place in Ontario, California the professional judges utilized the double-blind tasting method to measure wine characteristics. Historically, this wine competition was the first to award “Best in Class” level awards.
