GENEVA, NEW YORK - Belhurst Estate Winery president Mr. Duane Reeder proudly announces the Belhurst Semi-Dry Riesling 2008 has won Best In Show, Best in Category and a Double Gold Medal from the 2009 New York State Fair Commercial Wine Competition. Additionally, the Belhurst Dry-Riesling 2008 won a Double Gold Medal, the Belhurst Pinot Grigio 2008 won a Silver Medal, and the Belhurst Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 won a Bronze medal. Belhurst Estate Winery has now won a total of 103 Wine Competition Medals - 25 of which were won in 2009.
This year the New York State Fair Commercial Wine Competition received over 400 entries from wineries across New York State. The Competition has named the Belhurst Semi-Dry Riesling 2008 as its New York State Fair Blue Ribbon Wine. This wine, along with the other top award-winning wines, will be prominently displayed at the New York State Fair for approximately 1,000,000 fairgoers to see in the Horticulture Building.
