Our Guests' Feedback Offer a Glimpse of the Luxury, Relaxation and Excellent Service at Belhurst!

Dear Staff, My sweetheart and I stayed at your magnifivent facility on Friday, March 8th, 2013.  Our check-in was very easy and we were made to feel welcome immediately.  It was already after 7pm, so we decided to indulge in our complimentary wine tasting right away.

Betty greeted us warmly with a great smile, and explained that Emily would be our bartender for the evening.  Emily was very sweet, knowledgeable about the history of the castle and the wine and has a lovely accent! We enjoyed the wines and made our purchases.

We retrieved our luggage from our vehicle and found our way up to the third floor easily, as directed by the front desk staff.  We were asked if we needed assistance but were fine by ourselves.  The young lady made sure to mention the wine spigot and where it was located.  Thank you for that!  The Billiard Room 111 was certainly a treat!  The lights were on, the bed was made (with our chocolate castles on our pillows), and the bathroom was clean and stocked. Very nice job, Shanice!  The balcony really made me feel like royalty.

We chose to eat at Stonecutter's amd Matt was our server.  He was extremely attentive, even apologizing when the kitchen sent the wrong sandwich for me before it came to the table, but quickly took care to resolve it.  The Northeaster may possibly be the Best sandwich I have ever had!  The shaved turkey, brie with blueberry reduction on a very fresh onion roll at first seemed odd to me, but after the first bite, I was in heaven.  Great job, Chef Casey!!(That Kelly's Iced Tea is delicious, too!).

We wandered around the castle undisturbed and unhurried, and loved the artwork and statues. The stained glass windows were spectacular and we could't wait to see them in the daylight. They did not disappoint! Everything from the armor at the foot of the grand stairway, to the mosaic tile around the fireplace and the glorious mirror on the third floor made us feel like we were transported back into another world. The sconces and chandeliers, the hutches and china cabinets, the beautifully carved wood and majesty of the Castle are simply amazing.

The breakfast buffet the next morning was outstanding and a surprisingly great value!  The food was fresh, prepared and arranged well, with ample amount and selections available for the guests.  Our omelets were very good, too.

We took advantage of the splendid sunshine and walked around the grounds, which are impeccably maintained.  Many beautiful photo opportunities were had!  It was peaceful and relaxing, which was exactly what we had hoped for.

We returned to the Gift Shop and sampled some more wines with Darlene.  She was very engaging, easy-going and had a great sense of humor, which we thoroughly enjoyed.  We shopped some more and then it was check out time...the only bad part of our experience!  It was only bad because I did not want to leave! We noticed the beverages and breakfast bars in the lobby but were still full from breakfast, so did not partake.

Our experience at Belhurst Castle was all we hoped for and more.  The staff, the accommodations, the ambience, the history and the location all came together to provide a fantastic and very romantic getaway for us that we will never forget.  Cheers!!

Just a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed our visit on February, 10th 2013.
We bought the "Fires Package" and loved it, definitely want to come back!

Chris in the tasting room and breakfast server was wonderful.  Chef Tony can't say enough nice things about him!!!  Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the spa this time but hope to have the chance someday. A visit to Belhurst was the best Birthday present my husband could give me!  I thank you for making this a special visit.

 Wow! I'm so excited about this! You have no idea.. I have been waiting 35 years to go to the Belhurst for a dinner and we finally made it for Mother's day.  It was everything I expected and more and it was one of my most wonderful Mother's Day celebrations... And now with this it's like the icing on the cake!  We will try to get there this weekend or if not, is it okay if we pick it up next weekend?

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Vinifera Inn this past weekend and I just felt the need to write to describe our experience.  The room exceeded our expectations in every way possible.  Clean, neat, beautifully decorated, and comfortable.  The staff was very pleasant and helpful which made the experience much more enjoyable.  The service and the food at  Stonecutters was fantastic!  The food was great, and very reasonably priced.  We decided to take advantage breakfast buffet at Edgar's before checking out and again, to our surprise, our expectations were exceeded.  The breakfast was fantastic, fresh and unbelievably reasonable.  I can say with 100% confidence, we will definitely be staying at Belhurst again.  I have already told friends and family about our experience and to recommend them to stay should they be in the Seneca Lake region.

 We extended our visit here one more day and moved to the Carriage House for a different sleeping experience at Belhurst Castle. We again greatly enjoyed our Romance Package. This time we had the pleasure of a very helpful and bubbly waitress named Chris during our excellent lamb and duck dinners.  We also very much enjoyed our before and after dinner drinks in Edgar's lounge with Ryan who has great bartending skills and a great personality and even answered food questions!

 Where to begin? My wife and I have been attempting on many occasions to stay at the Castle, but you were always full on our trips. This time we were lucky! We were both totally overwhelmed!! We loved the sitting room, the large bath, and the romantic feel of the Butler's Suite. Very special.  Wine right outside our door, beautiful views everywhere, and a staff that treated us like royalty at every turn. There was something everywhere for you pleasure; complimentary wine tasting, candy, coffee, tea, cereal bars, fruit. But best of all was Edgar's!! Two thumbs ups and thank you so much!

We have gotten so many compliments about the beautiful grounds, outstanding food, and amazing service of the Belhurst employees!! During my stay, I came down to the front desk to inquire about a store in the hotel where I could obtain something for my stomach. I was feeling very sick. Meghan at the front desk was gracious enough to get me some alka-seltzer since the store was not yet open. She had tea sent up to my room as well. She was very kind and considerate. Although I felt very sick - she made Monday a much better day for me. She personally went to find someone to make tea for me. A great employee!

 Everything was magnificent. The virtual tours on the website actually didn't do justice to the room. I've never stayed in a more elegant, spacious suite - and we've been to many places! The food was excellent; we dined at Stonecutters but were able to have items from Edgar's. What service!
