BELHURST WINERY RELEASE TWO NEW WINES
December 2006 (GENEVA, NEW YORK) — Belhurst Winery President Mr. Duane
Reeder is proud to release two new Belhurst wines. The new wines,
Belhurst Cayuga 2005 and Belhurst Bordeaux Blend 2004, have been
receiving rave reviews from samplers in the Belhurst Wine & Gift Shop.
Created from a grape developed by Cornell University, the just released
Belhurst Cayuga, 2005 is showing a pale straw color with a very delicate
bouquet. First on the palate is a showing of green apples. The second
taste features nuances of delicate pineapple & pear along with a
lingering finish of tantalizing apricot. A wonderful accompaniment with
light cream based herb sauces, quiche and mild appetizers.
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the new
Belhurst Bordeaux Blend, 2004 is a wine of strong character with subtle,
smoky oak flavors adding richness and spice notes. Densely packed
flavors of plum, cherry and currents with firm tannins make this wine an
excellent choice for aging in any cellar. The Belhurst Bordeaux Blend is
a fine accompaniment with venison, wild game and hearty meals.
To receive a complimentary tasting of the new Belhurst wines in our Wine
& Gift Shop, press should contact Deborah Drago-Leaf for arrangements.
